1️⃣ Can I use this product on my face?

  • Royal Tallow Balm & Restorative Balm – These are deeply nourishing and best used on dry or problem areasrather than as a daily all-over facial moisturizer. If you have oily or acne-prone skin, use sparingly and only on dry patches.
  • Heritage Lip Balm – Safe for lips and other small dry areas (like cuticles or under the nose in winter).
  • Imperial Whipped Tallow - If you have oily or acne-prone skin, use sparingly and only on dry patches.

2️⃣ How often should I apply?

  • Balms and creams: 1-2 times per day is typically enough. Using too much may lead to clogged pores or a heavy feel.
  • Lip balms: Apply as needed throughout the day.

3️⃣ What if I have sensitive skin?

  • Our products are made with gentle, natural ingredients, but sensitivity varies by person. Always patch test first.
  • If you experience irritation, discontinue use and consult your doctor if needed.

4️⃣ Can I use this on children or pets?

  • Heritage Lip Balm & Royal Tallow Balm – Generally safe for children over 2 years old.
  • Restorative Balm – Contains essential oils in higher concentrations; avoid use on children under 12.
  • Pets – Not formulated for pets; avoid applying to animals.
  • Imperial Whipped Tallow -Scented varieties are generally safe for children over 2 years old. Unscented is generally safe for everyone, except pets.  

5️⃣ Does this work immediately?

  • Some products, like lip balms and tallow balms, provide instant moisture.
  • Others, like Restorative Balm, work best with consistent use over time for scars and deep hydration.

6️⃣ What happens if I apply too much?

  • Using too much balm may feel greasy or clog pores, especially on the face. Apply a small amount and let it absorb before adding more.

7️⃣ What if I get this in my eyes or mouth?

  • Eyes – Rinse thoroughly with water. If irritation persists, seek medical advice.
  • Mouth – While made with natural ingredients, our products are not for ingestion. If accidentally ingested in large amounts, consult a doctor.

8️⃣ Does this contain preservatives?

  • Our oil-based balms do not require synthetic preservatives, but they should be stored properly to maintain freshness. If exposed to heat, some products may soften or liquefy—this does not affect their effectiveness.

9️⃣ Can I use this while pregnant or nursing?

  • Some essential oils are not recommended during pregnancy (e.g., peppermint, clary sage). Check with your doctor before use.
  • Our Heritage Lip Balm (Unscented) and Royal Tallow Balm contain no strong essential oils and are often preferred by expecting mothers.
